- On January 10, 2005, Preetybird plagiarised Spikesfool and herself. [1]
- In January of 1977, Mona Delitsky published Cosmoconnection #2. This zine contained four pieces of Space: 1999 fan fiction. It also contained a fan adapation of the episode, Earthbound.
- In January 2003, there was a get together of British Harry Potter fan fiction fans. This particular get together was called Oxt00b. (s00: [2])
- On January 9, 2006, sara_sofia was founded on LiveJournal. It is a community dedicated to the Sara/Sofia pairing. [3]
