Jennifer Wand was a Sailor Moon fan fiction writer.
On April 24, 1998, Anya plagiarized Jennifer Wand's Sailor Moon fan fiction. [1] Jennifer Wand announced that in a post to rec.arts.anime.creative with a subject line of "[PLAGIARISM!] ATTN fanfic site maintainers!" that said:
- I was recently alerted to an instance of my story being posted under a
- different name by a different author to a fanfic archive. The author
- Anya, at email eternal_a...@hotmail.com, has copied my Sailor Moon fanfic,
- "Yaten's Love Song," changed a few details to make Makoto instead of
- Minako the main character (and what an out-of-character Makoto that
- makes!) and posted it under the title "Reaching For Your Star." I would
- like to ask all fanfic site maintainers, if you come across this as a
- submission, to reject it and, if possible, to send an e-mail to this
- person reminding her that plagiarism is a serious crime and will not be
- tolerated among the online community. Thank you for your time.
