2007
- During January 2007, some Grissom/Sara fan fiction writers write stories featuring Sara Sidle pregnant because of a scene where it looks like Sara Sidle/Jorja_Fox has put on weight that makes her look pregnant.
- During January 2007, several pieces of George Eads/Jorja_Fox CSI ActorFic were posted on LiveJournal.
- On March 29, 2007, the CSI episode Empty Eyes aired. It fueled more GSR related fan fiction and additional speculation that Sara Sidle/Jorja_Fox was pregnant, despite no spoilers that suggest this and important Jorja_Fox fansites, like Pure Jorja, Jorja Fox: Online and Jorja All Around, saying quite clearly that she was not pregnant.
- In early August 2007 the Grissom/Sara fandom located on the GoogleGroup GRISSOMSARATALK continued to hold discussing Jorja_Fox's sexuality as off topic because Jorja_Fox has not come out of the closet. To that extent, this meant that lesbian members of the group were not encouraged to discuss her in that manner, nor acknowledge that lesbian fans are one of the reasons why Sara Sidle is such a popular character on the show. At the same time, it was deemed acceptable to discuss the heterosexual female fans of William Peterson because William Petersen is out regarding is heterosexuality.
- On September 29, 2007, YourTaxDollarsAtWork launched a campaign with the goal of putting pressure on the show's creators to sign Jorja_Fox until the end of the season. [1] This campaign was also picked up by the Grissaratalk mailing list, which called their campaign SAVE JORJA FOX: Dollars Campaign. [2] They are urging all CSI, Sara Sidle and Jorja_Fox fans to participate.
- On September 27, 2007, TV Guide's Ask Ausiello published an article in which Fox discussed her character Sara Sidle surviving her encounter with the MCSK on CSI:. The original article is duplicated on Jorja Wiki (a part of Jorja Fox: Online). [3]. When the article was published TV Guide, Michael Ausiello failed to leave in some of Fox's dialog regarding the raise she didn't take that was offered to her in 2004 when she and costar George Eads were fired and then rehired. Her original line was '"And the raise was terrible, to be frank. An extra year for that amount of money? No thank you. Thank you very much, it's very flattering, but no thank you" which Ausiello failed to add completely.
2008
- In April 2008, there was a bit of wank regarding Sidlechick87's fangirl behavior in regards to Jorja_Fox in connection with Jorja_Fox's sexuality on DataLounge. [4]
- On October 9, 2008, after the season premiere, people immediately got on-line and googled phrases likes "Jorja Fox pregnant" and "Jorja Fox weight."
- In October 2008, a few on-line blogs and news articles killed the rumor that Sara Sidle was secretly pregnant and that was the reason that Gil Grissom would be leaving Las Vegas. The rumor was based on the shirt that Jorja Fox was wearing in the episode and because viewers though she looked pregnant.
- On October 22, 2008, Fan History Wiki saw a spike in people visiting Fan History after having used keywords related Jorja Fox being pregnant.
- In November 2008, Fan History continued to see traffic from people looking to know if she was pregnant.
- In December 2008, fans of Jorja Fox did another fundraising attempt to support her charities. With one week left, they had raised $630.00 USD, only $500 short of their last fundraising total. [5]
2009
- In March 2009, George Eads gave an interview in which it appeared he called Jorja Fox a diva and criticized William Petersen's work ethic and professionalism. This interview upset some William Petersen and Jorja Fox fans. [6][7]
