Macaulay Carson Culkin was born on Tuesday, 26th Ausgust 1980 in New York City, New York, USA as third of seven children.
He started his career at age four when he appeared in the off-Broadway play Beach Babies, followed by Mr. Softee, Buster B. and Olivia and The Nutcracker[citation needed]. His latest theater play was Madame Melville, which was first shown in London, UK at Vaudeville Theatre, and later on Broadway.[citation needed]
In May 2002, he started filming his first movie in eioght years Party Monster (with Seth Green), which was first premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2003. The following year, he presented his next movie Saved there. His latest movie is Sex and Breakfast, a dark comedy, and he will be starring soon in the new NBC series Kings.
He took a long break from movies because he was burned out, and needed to step back for a while. As the most famous child actor[citation needed] - next to Shirley Temple - it was quite hard for him to lead a "normal" life. He hadn't had the chance to meet a lot of kids at his age, so it was hard for him to find some friends. He said that he just wanted to go back to school, doing things a teen does, hanging around, making friends... just normal. He dyed his hair pink and purple, started smoking, and got himself a girlfriend. He also wanted to get away from public attention and hoped that people would forget about him soon. Macaulay said once that he never really wanted to be famous.[citation needed]
But the attention didn't go. He probably had more attention than ever when his parents separated and a worse legal battle over the custody of Macaulay and his siblings got started. Three long years later, Kit Culkin relinquished control to Macaulay's mother.[citation needed]
One year later, Macaulay tried to start his own family and married actress Rachel Miner on June 21st, 1998 in Connecticut. This marriage lasted about two years. Macaulay and Rachel got separated on August 5th, 2000, just when Macaulay tried to relaunch his career.
Now he's happily in love again with That '70's Show actress Mila Kunis. They have dated since May, 2002.[citation needed]
