Below is a timeline of fandom related events that took place in Mexico.

- In August 1999, Missy Pennington discovered that an X-Files "archive has almost 200 stories and 169,000 hits, and "Hardball" was obviously one of the first stories archived there." These stories were taken word for word from English stories and translated to Spanish and posted as written by the translator. [1]

- On November 3, 2002, Cosas de niños by norit was posted on FanFiction.Net. It was the first Spanish language Naruto story posted on the site. [2]
- On November 23, 2002, La Pelea by Loconexion became the first Spanish language Kim Possible story to be published on FanFiction.Net. [3]

- On June 22, 2004, la locura de una araña by ultimate spider became the first Spanish language Spiderman story published on FanFiction.Net.
- On September 29, 2004, Escapando al destino by KAROLD was the first Spanish language Bonanza story published on FanFiction.Net. [4]

- On January 1, 2005, Gracias a ti by Schwarz Aka-chan was published on FanFiction.Net. It was the first Spanish language Bleach story posted on FanFiction.Net. [5]
- On January 23, 2005, Nuestro Destino by sindy became the first Spanish language Fire Emblem story posted on FanFiction.Net. [6]
- On February 23, 2005, El nuevo reto para Danny by A happy freak in love was posted to FanFiction.Net. It was the first Spanish language story posted to the site.
- On March 30, 2005, Lo deprimente de ser Jordan Cavanaugh by Fanficcionista was posted on FanFiction.Net. It was the first Spanish language Crossing Jordan story posted on the site. [7]
- On December 28, 2005, the Spanish language Futurama wiki was created by Er-Makina on Wikia. [8]

- On January 17, 2006, Montaña Rajada by herocat became the first Spanish language Brokeback Mountain story to be published on FanFiction.Net. [9]
- On July 12, 2006, the Spanish language Danny Phantom mailing list danny_phantom_cartoon was created. [10]
- On August 23, 2006, the Spanish language Danny Phantom mailing list portal_phantom was created. [11]

- On April 30, 2007, MerFry by Sofi-Simpson became the first Spanish language Futurama story published on FanFiction.Net. [14]
