Minnow is a fan fiction writer who was part of the X-Files fandoms "Yes Virginia" group. This group developed a tradition known as machete beta reading. When Minnow moved from the X-Files fandom to the Stargate, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Angel fandoms, she took this tradition with her.
