In July 2007, around July 10, MySpace suspended over 13,000 users for being suspected pedophiles. [1] This was done after media scrutiny, pressure from groups like Perverted Justice and because state governments stepped in to demand it. Fandoms located on MySpace generally thought this was a good thing because, according to one person, the pedophiles were getting in the way of their fannish activities.
