• On May 4, 2003, Speak to Me in the Middle of the Night by Lady Chal became the first NCIS story posted to FanFiction.Net. [1]
• On September 23, 2003, NCIS premiered on television in the United States. [2]

• On April 14, 2004, the LiveJournal community ncisfanfic was created. [3]
• On June 20, 2004, NCIS premiered on television in Sweden. [4]
• On August 10, 2004, NCIS premiered on television in Iceland. [5]
• On September 18, 2004, Devil Aboard Le Diable Embarqué by kibbsforever was posted to FanFiction.Net. It was the first French language NCIS story posted to FanFiction.Net. [6]
• On October 22, 2004, the LiveJournal community _duckaholics_ was created. [7]

• On February 7, 2005, Gedanken einer Erdnuss by glorellie was posted to FanFiction.Net. It was the first German language NCIS story posted to FanFiction.Net. [8]

• On March 26, 2007, The SecDef Cheats by losingintranslation became the first NCIS story hosted on FanLib. [14]
• In early October 2007, the archivist for The NCIS Fanfic Archive determined that "here are just far too many visitors for the server to be able to cope and the archivist is unable to keep it going." [15] Warning was given to readers and writers so they would have time to back up stories.

NCIS (my current main pairing)- again, as a slash reader I see more slash than anything. And going by the main NCIS fiction archive, http://ncis.fictionresource.com/cats.php, that's confirmed. Slash = 1,011 stories Het = 624 stories Gen = 466 stories[17]
