Nancy Kippax

Nancy Kippax was a member of the fan community and had been involved in fandom since at least 1973. She was a writer, fanzine editor, and convention chair, heavily involved in fandom activities in the Baltimore, Maryland area until her move to Savannah, Georgia later in life.

Nancy Kippax became involved in Star Trek fandom in 1973, along with her sister Bev Volker. Together they produced Contact, a fanzine which was published from 1973 - 1987. Heavily involved in the Star Trek/slash fandom circle which grew around the Baltimore, Maryland area, she was a founding member of Clippercon, which later grew into Farpoint. She was a co-chair of ConneXions along with her friend Martha Bonds. Besides Star Trek, some of her other fandoms were Queer as Folk, Simon & Simon, and Kiefer/Lou.
