Below is a partial timeline of this fan fiction community.
- On October 15, 1998, FanFiction.Net was founded. New Found Glory fen soon started publishing their fan fiction on the site.
- On September 12, 2002, FanFiction.Net banned all Real Person Fic from their site. New Found Glory fen started publishing to several sites include fanfictionlog, Soup Fiction and FanDomination.Net. They also moved part of their community to LiveJournal communities. One of the early and important ones was fanficdotnet.
- On December 13, 2003, fanfictions was founded on LiveJournal as a place for people to post BandFic. Among the fandoms represented was Good Charlotte, Linkin Park, Mest, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, and The Used. [1]
