Nimbus

Nimbus was an international Harry Potter symposium held July 17-20 2003 at Walt Disney World's Swan & Dolphin Hotel. It was produced by HP Education Fanon, Inc., and it happened as a result of Sunday chats in the HPforGrownUps chat room. The symposium benefitted as a result of September 11, 2001 when, according to Heidi8[1] in an interview, they got a good deal because Disney was trying to get more conventions to be held in Orlando. HP Education Fanon, Inc.'s "sequel" symposiums—The Witching Hour in 2005 and Lumos in 2006—could not make use of the Nimbus name, so Nimbus 2003 was the only one of its designation.

- Starting in November 2001 in the HPFGU chat, the beginning stages for the Nimbus planning started as an idea for having a HPforGrownUps meet up. [2]
- On July 17, 2003, the first day of Nimbus began.
- July 18, 2003 was the second day of Nimbus.
- July 19, 2003 was the third day of Nimbus.
- July 20, 2003 was the fourth and final day of Nimbus.
