OFC stands for Original Female Character(s). An original charactor created by the fanfic author, as opposed to a charactor taken from the canon of the source material.

The following term dates to December 2001 in the Harry Potter fandom:
- OFC: Acronym for "Original Female Character". Found in fanfiction. Usually this is not just a run-of-the-mill character made up to fill in a role in a fanfic. If you see "(insert character here)/OFC", it means the protagonist of the story has a relationship/falls in love with the OFC. Comparable with, but may not always be a Mary Sue.[1]
The following definition dates to February 2003 in the Lord of the Rings fandom:
- OFC: "Original Female Character". A fan fiction author's creation. [2]
The following definition dates to August 2003 in the Harry Potter fandom:
- OFC - Original Female Character - ie, a character the writer has made up that's female.[3]
The following definition dates to 2008 in the Superman fandom:
