On October 26, 2006, the episode Reunion premiered. Oliver and Chloe met for the first time.

On January 13, 2007, Missing Scene from Hydro by Pamie884 was published on FanFiction.Net. It was the first story with Oliver and Chloe labeled in the characters section. [1][2]
On January 18, 2007, the episode Justice premiered. Oliver dubs Chloe Watchtower.
On April 19, 2007, the episode Progeny premiered. Oliver helps Chloe out by finding a safe place for her mother to be.

On February 7, 2008, the episode Siren premiered. It reveals that since 6th season, Oliver and Chloe have been working together on the Justice League, and have gained a lot of trust within each other. It also reveals that Oliver was protective of her, saving her from Black Canary.

On October 23, 2009, the episode Roulette premiered. Chloe helps Oliver overcome his fears/self-hate and become a hero again.
On October 24, 2009, an article reviewing Roulette in the TV Guide Magazine written by Damian Holbrook features the pairing's relationship in the episode. [3]

The actual amount of fans is yet unknown. There is no doubt however that the number of fans skyrocketed in Smallville's season 8. Evidence of this is the dramatic increase in the number of fanficions, music videos, and fan art around the time of the season finale.

As of November 19, 2009, there are 350 members in the LiveJournal community Chlollie.
