Parsons S.E. (Sarah Ellen) Parsons is a fan fiction writer who was part of the X-Files fandom's "Yes Virginia" group. This group developed a tradition known as machete beta reading. When S.E. Parsons moved from the X-Files fandom to Harry Potter, she took this tradition with her. She has also written stories in the Roswell, Supernatural and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer fandoms. Her work is characterized by the dark worldview favored by the YV writers.
