Below is a partial timeline for the Pirates of the Caribbean fan community.

  • On January 1, 2007, the LiveJournal community 7musicalmusesv2 was created, and it hoped to include Pirates of the Caribbean among its fandoms.
  • On May 24, 2007, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End was released in English-speaking countries.[36]
  • On December 10/11, 2007, a troll joined a number of Pirates of the Caribbean LiveJournal communities and posted child porn to them. The posts were made late at night when most United States mods would be sleeping. Wank subsequently ensued and most of the posts were quickly deleted when the mods became informed of them. [37] Most of the deletions were a result of a no child pornography rule created as a result of Strikethrough/BoldThrough.
