The Power Rangers Franchise has a long had a cult online fandom. Which is mostly comprised of teenagers and young adults outside of the target audience. The fandom's first main hub was the Power Rangers Newsgroup. As well as the IRC Power Rangers Channel. The first major Power Rangers website was the Morphing Grid. Soon many other sites sprang up, as well as message boards. The first major Power Rangers fanzine was the Power Rangers Zeo Newsletter. By the begginning of the 21st century message board began to play a key role in fandom interaction. Resulting in the rise of the Power Rangers Central Message Board and its growth into Rangerboard. In 2005 the very first Power Rangers Fan Convention took place in LA. Known as Morphicon.

The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers debuted in 1993. Featuring an adaption of Super Sentai footage form Japan with American civilian scenes. The show became one of the first major hits of the Fox Kids Network and became a toy juggernaut, rivaling such brands as Transformers and Ninja Turtles. The show has gone through many changes and has continued to remain on the air for 15 years, airing on the Fox Kids Network, ABC Kids, ABC Family, and currently on Toon Disney. Power Rangers was orginally produced by Saban Entertainment, but has since been purchased by Disney.

- On August 28, 1993, Power Rangers premiered on FOX in the United States as part of the FoxKids lineup. [1]

- Agony in Pink was a Power Rangers story that was written in 1994. The story was written by The Dark Ranger. [2] It was originally posted to alt.sex. [3] This story gain noteriety as one of the worst pieces of fan fiction ever written.
- On July 24, 1994, The Mutiny (1) first ran on television in the United States. It marked the start of season two. [4]

- On July 18, 1995, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie: Secrets Revealed first aired. [5]
- On September 2, 1995, A Friend in Need (1) marked the start of season three in the United States. [6]
