Ravenwing Wearable Art is a convention dealer and has been involved in vending at cons since 2008.
Ravenwing Wearable Art is the business name of Dar. No last name pls. I have been in different fandoms for the past 30 years. I became a part time merchant 3 years later, and full time 22 years ago in 1987.
I work with feathers, beads and have a line of sterling silver jewelry in charms and beadwork. My jewelry includes feather hair clips, feather earrings, alligator clips and small clippettes which are new for me. My beadwork consists of earrings, ear cuffs, ear wraps, face wraps, and anything unusual that I can come up with at the moment.
I love what I do and wish that there could be another color added to the rainbow so that I could play with it.

I do a number of conventions in a year. 2009 is finally over so this is my schedule for 2010 so far. Any convention not mentioned just means that I have not officially signed up and pd for it yet. This will be changed as I am able to get things done officially.

If you do not see a convention that I normally go to, this just means that the paperwork has not been finished or paid for. I have several conventions that I attend which have not yet been finished off. I may also be doing a steampunk convention or 2 which I may be doing.

I have been involved in cons for 30 years. I have been to all but 2 Media West conventions that have been held in Lansing. In the beginning, I started as a costumer, and that is where my jewelry is inspired from. I remember friends saying to me, if you make one of those, I would buy it. And since I was a little kid, that was what I wanted to hear. I would weave little easter baskets with paper and think that I had made something from nothing. (no paper is not nothing, but the idea of taking seemingly simple things and creating something more from them is exciting to artists and craftspeople especially.) So here I am, 52 years old and still playing with stuff to make other stuff. Life is interesting. Dar
