Retribution! is the first story in the Lydia Winter chronicles, written by BiteMeTechie, and details the introduction of Original Character Lydia Winter into the Stargate Atlantis fandom.

Retribution! opens with Dr. Lydia Winter, the narrator of the series, an astrophycist recently added to the Atlantis staff, hunting down Rodney McKay for 'correcting' her notes on a project meant to regenerate the power within a Zero Point Module. The argument and numerous attempts on his life that follow establish her inherent dislike of her superior and are a recurring theme throughout the series. Most of the early part of the story centers on their interactions with one another, as well as Dr. Winter's bemusement with her surroundings and the people to be found there, until a mission off-world goes awry and it's up to her worst enemy to assist in saving her life. Although the two come to an understanding eventually, their 'friendship' remains strained and awkward, even as Dr. Winter is leaving Atlantis to return to Earth.
