Sara Sidle

Sara Sidle is a character on CSI. She is one of two main female characters and is portrayed by Jorja Fox.

- On September 10, 2003, grissomandsara was founded on LiveJournal. It is a community dedicated to the Grissom/Sara pairing.
- On November 1, 2003, cathandsara was founded on LiveJournal. It is a community dedicated to the Catherine/Sara pairing. [1]
- On November 20, 2003, csisarasidle was founded on LiveJournal. It is a community dedicated to Sara Sidle. [2]
- On November 29, 2003, calleigh_sara was founded. It is a community dedicated to the Calleigh/Sara CSI: Miami/CSI pairing. [3]

- On September 26, 2004, nicksara was founded on LiveJournal. It is a community dedicated to the Nick/Sara pairing. [4]

- On January 18, 2005, lonersinlove was founded on LiveJournal. It is a community dedicated to the Grissom/Sara pairing. [5]
- On March 12, 2005, the LiveJournal community, butterflied__ was created. [6] This was a Grissom/Sara community.
- CrashandYearn was founded on September 15, 2005. It is a Sara/Catherine mailing list.

- On January 9, 2006, sara_sofia was founded on LiveJournal. It is a community dedicated to the Sara/Sofia pairing. [7]
- On January 22, the CSI Sara/Nick mailing list sara_nick_csi was created. [8]
- On April 12, 2006, the Your Tax Dollars At Work LiveJournal community was created. [9]
- On July 2, 2006, the cara_r_us LiveJournal community was created. [10] This was a Sara/Catherine community.
- In light of spoilers and new episodes, during December 2006 and January 2007, many Grissom/Sara fan fiction writers write stories dealing with Gil Grissom taking a sabatical due to burn out and how this impacts his relationship with Sara Sidle.

- During January 2007, some Grissom/Sara fan fiction writers write stories featuring Sara Sidle pregnant because of a scene where it looks like Sara/Jorja Fox has put on weight that makes her look pregnant.
- In late July 2007, CSI Grissom/Sara writers discover that TraceZBullet is still plagiarizing stories on FanFiction.Net. They note that TraceZBullet admitted to one of them that they would not have plagiarized the author if she had known how well known the author was. TraceZBullet admitted to continuing to plagiarize lesser known authors and saw no problems with it.
- During July and August, the MySpace CSI fandom continued to discuss Living Doll and what they wanted in the new season. A lot of this included Sara Sidle loving and Sara Sidle bashing. Both sides were very vocal in their positions. This same community, while actively discussion CSI tended to avoid all references to fan fiction.
- In early August the Grissom/Sara fandom located on the GoogleGroup GRISSOMSARATALK continued to hold discussing Jorja Fox's sexuality as off topic because Jorja Fox has not come out of the closet. To that extent, this meant that lesbian members of the group were not encouraged to discuss her in that manner, nor acknowledge that lesbian fans are one of the reasons why Sara Sidle is such a popular character on the show. At the same time, it was deemed acceptable to discuss the heterosexual female fans of William Peterson because William Peterson is out regarding is heterosexuality.
- In early August, the geekfiction summer ficathon entries were posted. Authors who participated included Jenbachand, gabesaunt, Ardvari, faketreefinger, mingsmommy, litbuff, Angelzbabe, chibs_87, scullyseviltwin, and nadyakaryshev among others.
- On September 29, 2007, YourTaxDollarsAtWork launched a campaign with the goal of putting pressure on the show's creators to sign Jorja Fox until the end of the season. [11] This campaign was also picked up by the grissaratalk mailing list, which called their campaign SAVE JORJA FOX: Dollars Campaign. [12] They are urging all CSI, Sara Sidle and Jorja Fox fans to participate.
- On September 27, 2007, TV Guide's Ask Ausiello published an article in which Fox discussed her character Sara Sidle surviving her encounter with the MCSK on CSI:. The original article was published on Jorja Wiki. [13]. When the article was published TV Guide, Michael Ausiello failed to leave in some of Fox's dialogue regarding the raise she didn't take that was offered to her in 2004 when she and costar George Eads were fired and then rehired. Her original line was "And the raise was terrible, to be frank. An extra year for that amount of money? No thank you. Thank you very much, it's very flattering, but no thank you" which Ausiello failed to add completely.

- On February 17, 2008, the FanFiction.Net forum A Little Snickers challenges and favs was created. [14]
- In October 2008, a few on-line blogs and news articles killed the rumor that Sara Sidle was secretly pregnant and that was the reason that Gil Grissom would be leaving Las Vegas. The rumor was based on the shirt that Jorja Fox was wearing in the episode and because viewers though she looked pregnant.
- On October 22, 2008, Fan History Wiki saw a spike in people visiting Fan History after having used keywords related Jorja Fox being pregnant.

Grissom/Sara is a het pairing for CSI. It is one of the most popular ships in the fandom. It is commonly referred to as GSR, borrowing the pairing code convention from the X-Files fandom.

Sara/Catherine is a slash pairing for CSI. It is one of the largest femslash pairings for CSI.
CrashandYearn is a CSI Catherine/Sara mailing list located on Yahoo!Groups. It was founded on September 15, 2005. The list is only for posting stories and does not tolerate on list discussion nor feedback.
