scans_daily is a livejournal community where fans post scans of pages from comicbooks and (occasionally) manga. Limits are placed on how many pages from the same comic may be scanned (full scans and downloads are not permitted).
Unofficial community mottos, stated on the comm's profile:
1) At scan_daily, it's never just you. 2) It only counts as subtext if it's *subtle*.

In December of 2003, the Comics LiveJournal community scans_daily was created. [1].
The comm began as a slash community, but its focus has shifted to comics in general (with a particular emphasis on the bizarre or amusing) and its membership has expanded to include over 6,000 people (as of April 2008), both male and female, including, notably, comicbook writer Warren Ellis.
