[edit] Introduction
The relationship between Sesshoumaru and Kagome from the Inuyasha anime is a topic of hot debate. As it is a non-canon pairing, there are some who decry it as being created on the basis of insubstancial conjecture and wishful thinking.
For those who enjoy the pairing between Inuyasha's Daiyoukai older brother and the miko from the future, it is more a product of irritation with the hanyou. Most cite Inuyasha's immaturity and inability to commit to the miko as proof of his unsuitability as a romantic figure. Sesshoumaru, as already shown with Rin, (a little girl he rescued) is a more stable figure and, at least in their opinion, more deserving of the miko's affections.
All of the discussion is a moot point, in any case. In the matter of a Sesshoumaru/Kagome romance, it is a take-it-or-leave-it situation. The fan base, for a non-canon pairing, is huge and the momentum is only growing within the Inuyasha fanfiction community.
