Shirley Maiewski

Shirley Maiewski was a member of the Star Trek fan community and had been involved in fandom since at least 1968. A writer and chairman of the Star Trek Welcommittee during its peak period, she was a guide and mentor to countless numbers of fans who followed after her. She wrote a very highly regarded early Trek story, "Mindsifter", contributed to many fanzines and was one of four authors responsible for the AU-4 universe of stories.[1]
Besides her love of Star Trek, she was also a Boston Red Sox fan.
