[edit] About

Underappreciated, the Sokka fanlisting, describes Sokka:

Sokka is more than slightly neurotic and, due to his sister's and friend's (and just about everyone else's) flippant attitudes towards him, he has a bit of an inferiority complex. Sokka believes strongly in tradition, realism, and the power of one's instincts. He is also very stubborn and has a deep-rooted hatred for Firebenders because they killed his mother and drove his father to going to war. Before his encounter with the Women Warriors of Kyoshi, Sokka was a bit sexist and held to traditional views that men were warriors and women cooked and sewed; after meeting Suki, however, his attitude changed. Sokka also tends to think with his stomach and will do just about anything for food. Despite his obvious flaws, however, Sokka is very loyal and cares deeply for his sister and his friends. Sokka still has a lot of growing up to do though.[1]
