• StingUs was launched in the summer of 1999, to fill the gap left by the end of the Dutch Sting Association. StingUs was originally a replacement Dutch fanclub and fanzine.
• In mid-2000 the website began posting news updates, in English, often obtaining exclusive content.
• In 2001, StingUs launched a weekly Sting newsletter on line and moved servers.
• Upgrades to the website began in 2003, and by January of 2005 the website had become a portal with additional features for the community.[1]
