On June 30, 2009, dodge_and_weave made the following observation regarding the author's work:

I've come to realize that ivorygates and syndochic like to write very edgy disturbing, out of character fanfics for stargate, and then completely add no warnings at all, even for pairings at times. So when you go to read something that is recommended all over the place as a X/X fic featuring characters you see on TV , you end up scratching your head when it's actually about character X practically molesting everyone within sight and unrecognizable as the character on TV. [1]
