Sora Takenouichi holds the Crest of Love and was one of the original members of the Chosen Children. She is often paired up with Yagami Taichi (Taiora). She is also paired with Tachikawa Mimi, which is called Mira and is a femslash or yuri ship.

Many fans claimed that Sora broke Taichi's heart during the Christmas episode (38) when she revealed her feelings for Yamato. Naturally, due to the popularity of Taito and immense popularity of Taiora, she was often bashed because of this. Many fans theorize that Sora and Taichi may have had a prior relationship that was romantic due to the dialogue given on that episode:

• "I wanted to be available in case Matt was free after wards"
• "Oh,I see, Matt huh? Go on in"
• "You're not mad?"

Indication that Sora must have broken off the relationship due to her feelings for Matt.
