Some articles got eaten because of server issues. :( Hence the chopping. This is one of those articles that really needs a reorganization. It should be much stronger and have more information but it totally doesn't have it. At the same time, a good template for conventions needs to be made and stub pages for the major and more influential conventions should probably be created, if only to encourage more people to contribrute to put those conventions into context of what they mean to the history. --Partly_Bouncy 08:19, 7 June 2007 (CDT)
- I'm going to work on re-writing this a bit.--Sidewinder 13:21, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- Awesome. :) There might be a fair bit of information on Wikipedia that might be useful in terms of helping to improve this article. And in the science fiction community and anime communities. What may be necessary for this article in the long run is to break parts of it down into type of convention in order to get the history better. But before it gets there, it probably needs a fair amount of additional research :/ Another issue is that at some point, the article will need to address regional issues. Japan is not the US is not Russia is not Australia. The pre-net history is important. Oh, and BarCamps need to be mentioned. ;-) --Laura 14:05, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
