[edit] Mammoth fail

Should mammoth fail links be moved to their own page? --Betsyb 21:56, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

I was going to ask the same, but wasn't sure. On one hand, would potentially make sense to separate the discussions. On the other hand, it's useful to easily see who participated in both discussions, or only one or the other. I'm not sure which is best.--Oicwud 00:35, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Since it is a continuation and a fork of the previous discussion, list Mammoth fail on both page? --Betsyb 00:57, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Would it be easier to put the links on a separate page? --Tikatu 01:06, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes and no. Mirroring would take the most work. Separate is almost easier because the current list is almost unmanageable in terms of length. --Betsyb 01:10, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
That's why I suggested giving the links - all the links - a separate page. We could do one page as a timeline of links, and another separate one for links by author. I agree, though, that it's important to group the Mammoth Fail ones with the others so you can see who took part in both discussions. Unless you set the Mammoth Fail timeline apart from the rest, and kept the Mammoth Fail links with the others on a "by author" page. --Tikatu 01:19, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
OK I admit I'm confused at this point by what the plan/idea is. If there is one. Perhaps just separate into "by date" and "by author" pages?--Oicwud 11:24, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Size

This page is too long. It is locking up my browser. I propose that we leave this page as by date. We create a separate page by author. Or that any links after May 11 be put on Mammoth Fail 2009. Then, mirror the format of this page. Please advise as to best approach. --Betsyb 16:45, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

That sounds like a good approach, as long as the remaining page doesn't do the same thing to your browser. --Tikatu 18:49, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
I like the idea of splitting "By date" and "By author". That should, obviously, cut the page length in half.--Oicwud 19:04, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] On going discussion about this incident and link inclusion

For a while, we've been getting links to this subject. The question is: Are these links part of Race Fail 2009? Should they be included in the link list on this article? Example links that this debate should be held around: BSCReview.com, Angry Black Woman, barberio, James Nicoll. --Laura 13:10, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

This blog post is another that should be considered for inclusion. --Laura 12:41, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
