Tasha Yar was a character on Star Trek: The Next Generation who died during the first season of the show. Because of this, she is not featured in as much of the fan fiction based on the show as other characters. Some fanon developed around the character, because of the fourth professionally published Star Trek: The Next Generation novel that Tasha Yar was abused in her youth.
