[edit] Template box
Should it be modified? Say include a spot for an image from the episode? It just feels like the information box is really empty but I'm not certain what else should go in it. --Laura 14:13, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
- How about that? --Sidewinder 14:58, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
- I like it much better. Big fear though is that it doesn't have any fandom reference point to it. Feels kind of like an unreasonable point for me... but was probably why I didn't include all the other information in earlier version. But otherwise, yes, much nicer. --Laura 15:05, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
- Well, to an extent some writers (and directors) develop a bit of a fandom from one series to a next, so I think it's worthy to info box them (I know in Stephen Cannell shows like A-Team, etc, you could easily tell which episodes were written by whom...so at some point it could be interesting to link that info together. I can't really think what else to add and still keep it more "fandom"-centric vs. info-centric. (One reason I'm adding all the Xena eps is because there was a lot of reaction-fic written in that fandom, so once the seasons are up I hope to be able to promote it for people to link the appropriate fic to certain episodes.)--Sidewinder 18:08, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
- The post episode reaction was one of the reasons why I added a number of articles to the CSI episode category. There was also a lot of discussion and wank in response to them. Also, I selfishly love post episode fic and I wanted a really good list for it. In the case of writers, I'd not really considered that writers might develop their own following or that people responded differently to different writers when looking at the template. Now that you mention it though, it makes a lot of sense. --Laura 18:16, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
