The Tenchi Muyo Fan Fiction Archive was one of the most important archives for this fandom. This site maintains their history here. To sum it, the site was founded on March 8, 1997 as part of the founder's AOL Tenchi Muyo page. It was moved to Geocities on August 29, 1997. In winter, early spring of 1998, the site received more submissions and on March 14, 1998, the site added a voting booth. The site moved to muyo.simplenet.com on April 4, 1998. A mirror of the site was made on Animanga.com on May 24, 1998. On September 1, 1999, the site moved to its current home. [1]

- On September 1, 1999, The Tenchi Muyo Fan Fiction Archive moved to its current home. [2]

- On July 4, 2001, the LiveJournal community animefanfic was created. [3] Among the fan fiction communities represented on this community include: Bleach, Clamp, Detective Conan, Fushigi Yuugi, Get Backers, Gravitation, Fruit Basket, Inuyasha, Kodocha, Loveless, Mamono Hunter Yohko, Pokemon, Prince of Tennis, Ranma 1/2, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Samurai Troopers, Shaman King, Tenchi Muyo, Weiss Kreuz, Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu Yu Hakusho.
- On July 24, 2001, the LiveJournal community tenchi_muyo was created. [4]

- Around October 2002, LittleOni plagiarized two Tenchi Muyo authors, Diane Long and Hospitaller. LittleOni also plagiarized a Sailor Moon story. [5]

- On January 23, 2005, the MySpace group TenchiMuyoUS was created. [7]
