The October-November 2006 wave of Tennant/Piper ActorFic was attributed by some LiveJournal commentators as a result of the Doctor/Rose ship ending in televised canon. With no new material and an uncertain status in future episodes, some fans may have taken comfort in the ActorFic potential of the two actors involved.
