The Southern Vampire Mysteries, also known as The Sookie Stackhouse Novels/Chronicles and TRUE BLOOD Series, are a series of books written by Charlaine Harris. The first book was published in 2001. In 2008, the series was created into a television series and is renamed to True Blood.
