On November 2, 1995, the Tomorrow People mailing list, TPFICT, was founded. Intended as a place for posting fanfic, this list was created in response to a crossover written by Wendy Perkins titled “On the Wings of Pigs.” The story was a Tomorrow People, Highlander and Sliders crossover. The list originally started on a private server, but soon moved to Xmission.com where it has remained to this day.
On November 18, 1995, a second Tomorrow People mailing list, TPDIS, was founded to provide a forum for discussion of the two series. This list also runs on Xmission.com and is still active, with a steady membership of about 120 people.
