In a private e-mail from Tracy Hickman, he said that he and Margaret Weis were in the process of developing a policy in regards to fan fiction derived from their work. He also said that it should be noted that most of their current material is copyright by Wizards of the Coast. As a result, enforcement of that aspect of the copyright is up to Wizards. [1]
