[edit] Introduction
Tracy Island IR was a Thunderbirds fansite on MSN Groups. It was generally oriented to what the Thunderbirds fan community calls "movie-verse", referring to the 2004 live action movie.
[edit] The Maintainers
The creator and original maintainer of the site was Phoenix Sparrow. However, in October 2006, when it became evident to her that she no longer had time to maintain the site, she gave it over to co-managers Nikki-browneyes and Tikatu.

[edit] History
The original site, Tracy Island, was founded mid-June, 2004. It was created to give those who enjoyed the 2004 live-action Thunderbirds film a place to gather ahead of its August premiere.
Three months later, in September, 2004, the site was deleted from MSN Groups without explanation. Hacking was suspected. Phoenix Sparrow recreated the group, adding the "IR" to the end in compliance with MSN's policy on naming/renaming Groups. It reopened on September 14, 2004. The site remained busy until early 2006, when posting began to slow considerably. Phoenix Sparrow handed managership of the group to Nikki-browneyes and Tikatu on October 8, 2007, stepping back into a member's role, and leaving the reins fully in their hands.
The site was deleted by MSN on February 23, 2009. Before this point, Tikatu had asked Phoenix Sparrow if she could use materials from Tracy Island IR in her new site, Thunderbirds Central. Phoenix Sparrow agreed, and gave Tikatu her blessing.
[edit] Funding
As this is an MSN Group, no funding was necessary.
[edit] Size
- As of February, 2009, the site had 147 members on its rolls.
