Twilight fanzines

From Fan History Wiki

The Twilight fandom does not have a history of publishing fanzines. In this way, they are similar to the Harry Potter fandom. Both fandoms were populated early by influence makers who did not come from fandoms with a tradition of fanzine publishing. When fans who did have that tradition moved in, they did not bring it with them. Instead, the fandom influence makers started conventions dedicated to the books. It is unlikely that the fandom will ever develop a community dedicated to publishing fanzines.

The Twilight fandom has had several cases where fans have attempted to self-publish unauthorized sequels or spin offs to the books. This includes the cases of Russet Noon and J&N: A Love Story. In both cases, had the authors announced that they were producing fanzines, the backlash against them would have been much less severe.
