Vidcon is a media convention held every July in Tampa, Florida. It is "Florida's only con devoted to fan fiction in all it forms. Come and interact with other fans who read, write and love fan fiction."[1] It is gen and slash friendly. Vidcon is organized by the Stone Hill Science Fiction Association.

• The Vidcon yahoogroup was created on July 23, 2000.[2]

• Vidcon '07 took place July 20 - July 22, 2007 at the Clarion Inn and Convention Center in Tampa, Florida.
