Vidding

Vidding is the act or process of creating a fan-oriented Vid or Fan Vid. The packaging of Microsoft Windows Movie Maker® has increased the number of fans vidding. However, as with Fan fiction, more does not necessarily mean better, only that Vids, which once required some additional software and equipment, often difficult and expensive to come by, are currently being made by a far greater number of people, some of which have never worked in any kind of visual medium before in their lives.
However, the new digital vidding medium has also given rise to numerous talented and amazing vidders. And recently, vidder Luminosity's vids were recognized in a New York magazine.
