Vincent Valentine is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII as well as the main character in the spin-off game Dirge of Cerberus (DoC). He also appears in the movie Advent Children.

Vincent's tragic and mysterious past are often explored in fanfiction, but his popularity is probably most due to the fact that he's a bishonen.

Canonically, Vincent was in love with Lucrecia Crescent; however, the most popular het ship in the FFVII fandom featuring Vincent is probably Yuffentine, which is Vincent/Yuffie Kisaragi. The slash pairing Cidvin (also called Valenwind), which is Vincent/Cid Highwind, is probably the most popular yaoi couple featuring Vincent.
