Whatever Gets You Through The Night was a multifandom slash and het fanzine series from Sockii Press, published between 1997 and 2000. The focus was largely on more unusual pairings and rare fandoms.

Published 1997, 80 pages. Contents included:

  • "Recon 1" by TopLegal. 16 pages. (Star Trek: Voyager - slash) The crew of Voyager are stunned when they are contacted in a Federation "rescue" mission - and not everyone is necessarily eager to go home again. A sometimes hilarious and sometimes very naughty tale, sure to please Paris and Chakotay fans.
  • "The Drive" and "The Wait" by Amanda Bogardus. 3 pages. (X-Files) Two short vignettes from Scully and Mulder's perspectives, respectively.
  • "Just an Interesting Plot Twist" by sidewinder. 12 pages. (A-Team - slash) A moment's whim catches Face completely by surprise when it reveals Murdock's long-felt desires. Will it destroy their friendship - or turn it into something so much more . . .
  • "The Newlyweds" by Jasmine. 15 pages. (A-Team - straight) Running a scam as Faceman's blushing bride turns out not to be much of a hardship for Amy. . .
  • "I Love to Watch You" and "I Sometimes Wonder" by Lynda. 4 pages. (A-Team - Face/Hannibal slash poetry)
  • "Bailey and Charlie" by TopLegal. 4 pages. (Party of Five - slash) The title just about says it all.
  • "Lessons" by sidewinder. 7 pages. (Babylon 5 - slash) Delenn's human transformation has been difficult in many ways particularly when it comes to dealing with certain new human . . . urges. Can Ivanova help with this latest crisis?
  • "Shadowplay" by sidewinder. (Babylon 5 - slash). 14 pages. Michael Garibaldi's morale is hitting a dangerous low after Sinclair's good-bye message. While dealing with a new drug problem in Down Below, can he find the comfort he needs from someone he himself helped turn around months before?

  • "Star Chamber" by AdmiralTAG. 4 pages. (Star Trek: The Next Generation) — Picard and Crusher's relationship reaches a point of conflict, and climax.
  • "Unspoken" by sidewinder. 3 pages. (Brimstone) — One silent night, the devil muses on his relationship with Ezekiel.
  • "Dance the Edge" by Rickey. 3 pages. (seaQuest) — Lucas' dangerous request tests his relationship with Tim.
  • "Angel's Lullaby" by Evermore. 19 pages. (seaQuest) — Lucas and Tim struggle to keep their relationship a secret.
  • "Stormfront" by sidewinder. 1 page. (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace) — in the days before "A New Hope", Obi-Wan muses on his past, and future. (Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan)
  • Spirited Away" by Evermore. 10 pages. (The Haunting/Star Wars: The Phantom Menace/Forever Knight/...) — a Haunted house, two survivors, two lost Jedi, and a vampire spirit...will they manage to sort out this mess? (Light m/f and m/m themes)
