[edit] Introduction
World Fantasy Convention is an annual gathering held in a different location every year, similar to WorldCon. The emphasis is on fantasy writing and artwork, and it is considered one of the prime markets for fantasy artists to promote their work to potential publishers through the convention's art show. No media programming is allowed unless directly related to the literary programming, and the dealer's room is strictly for book and art materials. Location for the convention is awarded through a bidding process where applicants must meet the criteria for the convention.[1]
