Yamachi is a slash relationship between
Ishida Yamato and
Yagami Taichi (Matt and Tai in the English dub), two characters in
Digimon. This fan-made name refers to the specific pairing in which Yamato is the dominant (or
seme) member and Taichi is the submissive (or
uke) member. Yamachi (fanfiction) stories tend to be heavy on Yamato's suave and sexy qualities, with a much lighter emphasis on any personal angst and moodiness he may experience. He protects Taichi, who is often a great deal more insecure than anyone knows because he has to keep the interests of the group in mind.
