[edit] Introduction
Rider Coming!
The Young Riders captures the excitement of the Old West, following a group of riders for the famed Pony Express.
[edit] The Show
"Orphans Wanted" -- That's the ad that recruited for the Pony Express. The Riders would face untold danger, racing across the untamed wilderness from St. Joseph to Sacramento. They rode all out for 75 miles, changing horses every 12 to 15 miles. And the mail had to go through, no matter the weather.
Of course, The Young Riders took a few liberties with the concept. Carrying the mail took a back seat to other adventures as the Riders found themselves wrapped up in other pursuits of the time. There are wagon trains and bank robberies, love and heartbreak, all mingled with the impending Civil War.

REUNION is the name given to the (mostly) annual gatherings of TYR fans in Tucson, AZ. We can visit places like Old Tucson Studios and Mescal, where much of the series was shot. Soak in more Old West flavor in Tombstone, the town too tough to die. And take in the wonderful sights and experiences the Tucson area has to offer.
[edit] Young Riders Bloopers and Trivia
In the final episode, TAPS is played at a funeral. The song was actually written during the Civil War, so playing it in a show set before the War between the States is out of place.
In the Episode - Speak No Evil Kid climbs up a rocky face while they're trying to escape from the men after Ike, you can see a hole in the seat of Kid's suede pants.
